Invented in 1928, the Atmos’s almost-perpetual movement counts the hours, day after day, year after year, without any need for a battery or rewinding – this is a clock that literally lives on air. Needless to say, the construction of this unique clock is an operation requiring extreme precision. To illustrate the extraordinary technical achievement that is the Atmos, imagine this: it would take 60 million Atmos clocks to equal the energy consumption of a single 15-watt electric light bulb.

Swiss Watch Gallery proudly presents the return of its signature event, Art of Time, a stunning and immersive showcase of some of the world’s beloved watchmakers. Now in its fifth edition, it is Malaysia’s most unique showcase offering the experience of Switzerland’s prestigious watch fairs and an insider’s glimpse into watchmaking, a special combination that is sure to appeal to long-time watch aficionados and draw the interest of new fans.
Art of Time debuted in 2011 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Swiss Watch Gallery, an emporium of a most comprehensive collection of the world’s foremost watchmakers, created by Valiram Group, leading luxury, fashion and lifestyle retail specialist in Southeast Asia. Consider it an open invitation to come discover and explore the wonders of watchmaking. It brings together the best of watchmaking names and celebrates the art and the heart that drive the industry.
This year, Swiss Watch Gallery elevates the Art of Time experience with the infusion of the arts. Playing on the event title, Art of Time, Swiss Watch Gallery is marking its milestone anniversary – 15 years as a home-grown purveyor of fine watches – with a celebration of the local arts scene, sharing the spotlight with local artists from the spectrum of disciplines within Malaysia’s arts scene who will present their interpretations of “Time”.
Watchmaking and the arts share the same values after all – honouring tradition, creativity, savoir-faire and innovation. These commissioned works will be integrated into Art of Time’s structure and space.
The traditional crafts will also be in the spotlight. Expect a special encounter with a Jaeger-LeCoultre master enamellist who will demonstrate this one of several applied arts in horology. Visitors can also meet with Swiss Watch Gallery’s trained watch specialists for advice and enjoy amazing privileges when they make a purchase during the exhibition.
All these will be housed in a newly designed exhibition space – measuring approximately 4,600 sq ft – set up once again at the generous concourse of Malaysia’s prestigious retail landmark, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. The exhibition will be headlined by brands such as Baume & Mercier, Bell & Ross, Bremont, Frederique Constant, Graham, IWC Schaffhausen, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Jaquet Droz, Maurice Lacroix, Oris, TAG Heuer, Tissot, Tudor and Zenith, with limited-edition complications and haute joaillerie among their highlight pieces.
